Dayville Wild Horse Tours

Wild West

We offer the best of the west - wild horse tours in the state of Oregon. Murderer's Creek provides great opportunities to photograph wild mustangs along with other wildlife in their natural environment, including black bear, mountain lion, rocky mountain elk and more.

It has been said that these horses had escaped from the early explorers and are indeed the descendants of the early settlers and ranchers who pioneered this country near the remote town of Dayville, Oregon.

Tours are conducted free of charge and dedicated to the history and the preservation of the Murderer's Creek wild horses. We have over fifty years of cowboy experience and know where these legends run. We have many years of rodeo experience under our buckles. We enjoy what we do. We work to play hard. Therefore, it is our pleasure to participate in your western journey as your invited guest. You will learn many historical facts about this particular herd and you are sure to enjoy the hospitality of our town.

Horseback

This tour involves long days in the saddle and a good number of wild horse encounters throughout the day. Mustangs can be a little skittish and a good trail horse can bring you a lot closer to your subjects for better viewing and photographing opportunities. These tours are available by horseback only.

Personal Horses

This tour has been developed as a historical awareness and preservation project of the Murderer's Creek wild horses. We take trail etiquette, herd health and potential risks very seriously. Therefore personal horses should not be included on these tours. Local trail horses are available through the links provided below.
